If more than one person is in a university vehicle, all people in the vehicle must wear a courtesy face covering. This includes open-air utility vehicles.

Motor Pool vehicles are available to faculty, staff, and students for use on official University travel billed to departmental or student organization accounts. All student drivers require additional departmental and /or Student Activities approval. Student Clubs will not be allowed to use vehicle unless their DACC Adviser is present on the trip. All drivers must have an active profile in Fleet Commander, present a valid U.S. driver's license, and NMSU Vehicle Operator Permit in order to secure a vehicle from the DACC Fleet. Departments are responsible for a deductible payment in the event of a chargeable loss due to damage resulting from the use of a vehicle. Risk Management administers the insurance program. All accidents must be reported immediately or as soon as practical. RESERVATIONS: Rental reservations may be requested by calling 527-7557 or completing a reservation form on the Motor Pool website. LATE RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS: If a late return is anticipated, contact the Motor Pool dispatcher immediately 575-527-7557. Cancellations should be made as soon as you know you will no longer be needing the vehicle. The motor pool staff may cancel vehicles not picked up within 1 hour of the scheduled reservation time. OFFICE HOURS: The Internal Services Office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Vehicles may be checked out during these hours and keys may be picked up in advance of the reservation time, if vehicle is available. After hours drop boxes are located at DASH 95 and DAEM 204.
